Francis (Frank) Blaikie 1771-1857

Frank was the eldest of Andrew’s children who survived to adulthood, and was one of the reasons Andrew chose to make his journey through England in 1802. After the death of his employer, Lord Chesterfield, he moved to Holkham Hall in Norfolk in 1816 to work as land steward to Thomas Coke, Earl of Leicester. He spent the rest of his working life there, before retiring to Melrose.
